How to Use DermMatch
Applying DermMatch is simple, quick and helps create natural-looking coverage in areas with thinning hair, low hair density, bald spots or visible scalp.
Applying DermMatch is easy
DermMatch can be applied to a dry or slightly damp scalp, but it should never be applied to soaking wet hair or scalp.
Lightly moisten the applicator, rub it over the DermMatch disc, apply it to the desired areas and comb or brush your hair for a natural-looking finish.
Apply DermMatch in 4 steps
Step 1: moisten the applicator
Gently moisten the EZ Applicator with water until it is slightly damp, but never soaking wet.
Step 2: rub the applicator over the disc
Gently rub the damp applicator over the DermMatch disc until it picks up color.
Step 3: apply DermMatch
Apply DermMatch to the areas with thinning hair, low hair density, bald spots or visible scalp.
Repeat this step until you achieve the desired level of coverage.
Step 4: comb and perfect
Comb or brush your hair as usual to distribute the product evenly and achieve a natural-looking scalp coverage.
After application
You can also blend the product with a sponge or your fingers, although the EZ Applicator allows for a more controlled and even finish.
After using the applicator, it is recommended to rinse it lightly and let it dry before storing it.
Each unit of DermMatch includes 3 EZ Applicators.
Allow DermMatch to dry for a few minutes. Drying time is usually less than 5 minutes.
You can let it air dry or use a hair dryer on a gentle setting to speed up the process. If you notice excess product after application, comb or brush your hair once it has dried to remove any excess.
You can also apply DermMatch dry
If your hair is very short or closely cropped, if you have curly or permed hair, or if you simply prefer not to dampen your hair, you can also apply DermMatch to dry hair.
The method is similar whether you apply DermMatch to the hair, beard or eyebrows.
DermMatch is resistant to water, wind and sweat.
It can be used by men and women, regardless of hair type, hair color or skin tone.
Like an artist’s palette, DermMatch shades can be blended together to create new tones, soft transitions or even highlighted effects, while maintaining a natural-looking result.
Suitable for different uses
DermMatch is mainly used to improve the appearance of thinning hair, bald spots and visible scalp, but it can also be useful in other areas where a more even or denser-looking appearance is desired.
Short hair
Useful for very short hair, closely cropped hair or areas where the scalp is more visible.
Beards and moustaches
Can help disguise small patches, low-density areas or irregularities in facial hair.
Eyebrows
Can be used carefully to add the appearance of more density or color to sparse eyebrows.
Grey roots or white hair
Can help temporarily soften contrast in grey roots, white hair or areas where natural color starts to appear.
How to remove DermMatch
To remove DermMatch, simply wash the applied area with water and shampoo, gently massaging the scalp or hair.
DermMatch stays in place until it is removed during washing.
How to choose your DermMatch shade
Look in the mirror and observe the root color in the area with lower hair density.
That is usually the shade you should choose.
If you dye your hair one single color, choose that same shade.
If your ends are lighter and your roots are darker, use the root color as your reference.
If your hair color falls between two shades or if your hair is becoming grey, you can blend shades to achieve a more natural-looking result.
If you are unsure between two tones, it is usually better to choose the darker shade.
Like an artist’s palette, all DermMatch shades can be blended together to create new tones, soft contrasts or even highlighted effects, while maintaining a natural-looking finish.
